 Camping Gear/Equipment Suggestions
« Thread Started on Jan 26, 2011, 8:16am »

Bought the boyfriend a tent for Christmas so we can use it at the fest this year. It seems pretty snazzy. A Eureka Sunrise 9.

http://store.eurekatent.com/products/364761/Sunrise_9_Tent

Anyone else have this tent or any other Eureka tent? Feedback?

We set it up in the living room the other day and it is massive. I'm pretty excited about that because we borrowed my uncle's gear last year who lives in Yakima--he's an avid kayaker, so the tent was pretty tiny and we woke up to a puddle in the tent each morning.

Also, how many of y'all use canopies? The weather is usually pretty pleasant and the sun wasn't very offensive last year. We just pre-gamed in chairs by our car.

Finally--I was walking around the overpriced camping store, REI the other day and saw LED tent lights you can dangle in the tent with the rain fly down. Super cool. Couldn't justify paying $20.00 for christmas-type lights in the tent. It would make it look like a party tent, though!

That sounds like the perfect impulse buy.

I would have impulse-bought those christmas tent lights for sure. No way I could have restrained myself. In fact if you had bought them you probably could have sold them to me at a huge mark-up after a couple drinks at sasquatch.

I'm pretty sure I'll be picking up a tent fan this year. Waking up in the morning in a sweltering hot tent was not pleasant. They generally have an LED light on them too.

Hey Lumpy:

What you do for a job. Buy things at your cost. Then sell them for what you bought them for.. Your business must be booming!???

It's called supply & demand.. If I want to bring a bunch of LED fans & sell them for more than I paid.. That called good old fashioned capitalism.. You must hate Entrepreneurs then..

Those people are called distributors, they make these items more accessible for the public where the supplier wouldn't be able to. Yes, they make a profit off this. If anything, you make tickets LESS accessible. (Thanks Marketing 302, after having to live through you I can at least have decent arguments with assholes.)

And for the record I work at a recording studio. I work in a service industry, not a product industry. Not that that even really matters, but just wanted to further prove how awful your point is.

I don't know what's worse, that you think you are doing nothing ethically wrong or that you realize the err of your ways and are intentionally raping people.

You work for a record company.. Interesting..

Some of the biggest rip-off artist's in the world.. Any you're complaining about me..

Charge $15-$20 for a CD?? You should just give them away.. That's the ethical thing to do..

Pretty Lights give's them away: http://www.prettylightsmusic.com/#/downloads

That's because artist's make their money by traveling & playing shows & festivals.. Not by sitting in the studio and making their management & record companies money.. Glad you can ride the coat tails of musician's and steal money that they could have.. You sir, should be ashamed..

You see ethics are personal thing. Everyone has view's on ethics that are different.. Once again, my views are different & you have to hate..

Hey. Asshole. Reread my post. Recording Studio. Not Record Label. And I agree, labels fuck people over. Bad ones anyway.

And you are also right. I do have to hate.

So you honestly don't think you are fucking people over for your own benefit?
