Sell "Unofficial Fest Tips" shirts. Do a series with statements on the back, like:

"I DON'T CARE IF YOUR FRIEND'S IN FRONT OF ME, DUDE, I'M NOT GONNA LET YOU PAST WITHOUT AN ELBOW TO THE RIBS"

"DRINK WATER, 17-YEAR-OLDS, SO I DON'T HAVE TO BE INTERRUPTED BY YOUR UNCONSCIOUS BODY BEING PASSED OVER MY HEAD TO THE AISLE DIVIDING THE MAIN STAGE FLOOR"

"THEY HAVE SETLISTS. STOP YELLING REQUESTS UNLESS THEY GIVE EXPRESS PERMISSION."

"IF I FIND THE GUY THROWING TORTILLAS, I WILL STRAIGHT UP PUNCH HIM IN THE GUT"

Actually, that one would probably be as good as a bull's eye on my back. (Bulls-eye? Someone help me out here.)

"GO AHEAD. CROWD SURF. I COULD USE SOME EXTRA BEER MONEY."

I don't remember. I saw "him" and his friends at Neil Young's Bridge School Benefit a few months ago.

For those curious, this is an annual two-day charity concert benefiting the Bridge School. Take it away, Wikipedia:

Proceeds benefit the Bridge School, which assists children with severe physical impairments and complex communication needs. One of the thrusts of the program is the use of advanced augmentative and alternative communication and assistive technology.

It's in an amphitheater, which has grass seating, but isn't quite the Gorge. Somehow these people thought it was a good situation for... throwing food into the crowd ahead of them.

Seriously. Even if it's 6 ex-frat guys who could beat my ass, I'd love the chance to get just one shot in. Depending on the strength of the lineup, I'd consider getting thrown out after a few bands on the condition that they went, too. You have no idea how much that shit annoys me.

Cue a half dozen teenagers telling me I shouldn't come to festivals, man, cause that's part of the concert experience, you old pussy.

Hahaha, I'm not sure food throwing fits the festival vibe at all. Who am I to weigh in on this though? I'm also old.

Based on how much some shit bothers you here... I think it's safe to say we have a good idea how much that would bother you.

Some years I've REALLY wanted to go to the Bridge School benefit show, but the Shoreline, man... God I hate that place. One of the worst places in the state of California to see a show.

That was my first trip to it. I imagine it would have been a better experience had (a) it not been raining or (b) I gotten seats under the "roof" or whatever.

Sort of. Here, I get to drink and then call someone an idiot. At the festival, my only real option is to turn around and yell "STOP BEING A DICK, DICK," and that, of course, would only encourage them to throw more. Jesus christ, people are trash.

That is literally the worst shirt I've ever seen.

I really hate "amateurimation" shit like that. "Look, it's a really poorly painted picture, it's ironic and cool!"

Yeah, sorry 1sttimer, this is not a shirt I would buy. Don't think I'd even wear it for free. I'm all for bootleg concert shirts, but this is the sort of thing I could make on MSPaint. Unfortunately I am not artistic at all so I can't give you any pointers. Just make it more... better? And why IS there a digital hair on it???

Ha. That's funny. Last year a friend of mine DID make shirts quite similar to that for our group, and I think she used MS paint to do it. I don't think she could have marketed them successfully, had she been inclined. I would not buy that shirt, because for comparable money I could buy an 'official' Sasquatch shirt of higher quality and better design. Sorry, but I think if you want to sell shirts you need to find an idea different from what Sasquatch is marketing. Maybe a clever reference to the festival or a well designed picture of the gorge. I don't remember seeing anything like that at a merch table. Otherwise, sell them late at night to very drunk people. That might work too.

I8's idea seems like something "the masses" would fall head over flip flops for. But he talks a lot about knowing lawyer stuff so I would try to become a lawyer too before you steal it and set out to make your festival millions.
