So if i made some limited edition Sasquatch t-shirts would people buy them at the festival? They would be a unique design and not be associated with the festival although they would say Sasquatch 2011. I would love to do this. Let me know if you are interested and think it would work.
EDIT:
Pictures of shirt are on cityranger.ca
So we will do it this way:
Everyone send me $15 per shirt to my pay pal account:
pay.palzoewiens@hotmail.com
Make sure you spell that right. Put a note in the transfer of your username, the size and color wanted so I save the right shirt for you. We will set up a meeting at Sasquatch for people who don't want them shipped. If you do want it shipped PM me your address and I will give you a quote.
Shipping is approximately $13 if you live in the west for 1 or 2 shirts in the same package.
Anyone that did not previously order a shirt can PM me and I'll let you know what sizes I have left.

Just be advised that there will be no shortage of people selling hand-made shit, that LiveNation WILL crack down on you for selling hand-made shit if you don't give the yellowshirts a cut, and that No: there is so much official Sasquatch shit to spend money on that it is not likely that you will turn a fairly brisk trade.
If you want to sell something, bring drugs or cigarettes or extra socks or something that people will buy out of need.
Unless (forgive me for this, Friendly D) you are a cute, smiley hippie chick, in which case you will have no trouble selling just about anything you can think of.
Also in which case: pix plz k thx.

Sorry. Smelled like someone was cookin' up some spam in here.
So this, then:
Saying, "Hey, I'm a person on the infernet, who likes to buy t-shirts?" isn't going to bring 'em running. You might get results with, "Hey, check out this badass Squatch shirt I made for y'all! Ta-daaa! (presents badass Squatch shirt) How much are you fuckers gonna pay me for one of these bad boys!?"
In related news: spam is a Sasquatch staple (protein, people! protein!), and you're gonna have a blast at what is sure to be the BEST SASQUATCH EVER.

Don't worry about it. I'll post up the design as soon as I get them made.

I wasn't worried. Sounds to me, though, like you gots the makings of a firecracker of a business model there.
I for one am curious and excited to see what you come up with. Bring it on.

Keep in mind you will be breaking the law. You are not going to have a line waiting to buy your shirts unless they say Sasquatch. You are therefore using the Festival's name to sell your product. I'm pretty sure the festival wants people paying $30 for their shirts, rather than $10 for your shirts. In other words, don't expect to set up shop at your camp site with a sign, and get away with it. You'll need to play the part of a criminal if you don't want to get caught.
Even if you could tip the security to leave you alone, the undercover police officers don't work for the festival.

Hm. Yeah, that too. Again, though, the cute/smiley thing will go a long way.

I plan on writing sasquatch on them. I don't think having that word on a shirt will get me in trouble. There is no way they can copyright the word sasquatch. I'll be careful selling them. Hopefully if people want them I can ship shirts ahead of time. Less risk for everyone.

Trademark Infringement:
The standard is "likelihood of confusion." To be more specific, the use of a trademark in connection with the sale of a good constitutes infringement if it is likely to cause consumer confusion as to the source of those goods or as to the sponsorship or approval of such goods. In deciding whether consumers are likely to be confused, the courts will typically look to a number of factors, including: (1) the strength of the mark; (2) the proximity of the goods; (3) the similarity of the marks; (4) evidence of actual confusion; (5) the similarity of marketing channels used; (6) the degree of caution exercised by the typical purchaser; (7) the defendant's intent.
In other words, if you want to sell shirts that say Sasquatch on a street corner in San Diego, go for it.

You guys should start a, "The Consultants" thread. By the way Know, I'm looking to paten and sell Lawn-chairs you wear as t-shirts, then once inside the grounds you can remove and use as lawn-chairs. Thoughts?

I think it is a brilliant idea. Just make sure there are no trademarked names on the chairt. And don't think you can put knowidyuh on them as a joke, I will sue your ass.
